Our Story

Behind every door, there's a story.

It started with a Kodak. A decade later it became a company — born from one quiet realisation that runs through every wedding.

It started with a Kodak camera.

Not a professional one. Not an expensive one. Just a simple roll-film camera that my father brought home one afternoon when I was still in primary school. I didn't know it then, but the moment I held it — something woke up inside me that never really went back to sleep.

Years passed. That fascination stayed.

In 2015, at nineteen years old, I made a decision that most people thought was too young, too risky, too uncertain. I picked up a camera and walked into my first wedding. Somewhere between the chaos of a thousand guests, the smell of fresh flowers, the sound of shehnai and the weight of emotions hanging in the air — I knew. This was it. This was exactly where I was supposed to be.

A decade later

Big ones. Small ones. Intimate ones. Grand ones.

For ten years I photographed weddings. Celebrity ones. Simple ones. Somewhere along the way I realised something that changed everything — every single wedding, regardless of budget, regardless of venue, regardless of guest count, had the exact same thing at its heart.

Emotions.

A mother with her daughter
While the entire guest list celebrates loudly, while everyone dances and laughs and clicks pictures — I always find myself searching for those two faces in the crowd. The mother straightening her saree a little too many times. The father who hasn't sat down all evening but suddenly goes very quiet in one corner.

Why WeddNextDoor.

After ten years inside hundreds of weddings, I saw something else — something that bothered me deeply. Couples were running from vendor to vendor. Ten different people. Ten different numbers. Ten different follow-ups. Ten different headaches. A photographer here, an anchor there, an SFX team somewhere else, a live painter they found at midnight scrolling Instagram.

Planning the most important day of their life had become a logistical nightmare. And I thought — why should it be this way? Why run to ten vendors when you can get everything under one roof?

That question became WeddNextDoor.

Born in April 2026 from a decade of experience, WeddNextDoor is not just a photography business. It is a complete wedding experience company — bringing together photographers, cinematographers, SFX artists, wedding anchors, live painters, caricature artists and more. All curated, all collaborative, all working towards one single goal: making your wedding an experience that you and every person in that room carries for the rest of their lives.

We are based in Mumbai. We are growing every single day. We are passionate beyond measure. And we are always — just next door.
